What happens to an EMS when the internet connection fails?

That depends on where the control actually runs. With the Elteq EMS platform by 1AITE B.V. Why this is a design choice, not a detail

An EMS that fetches every control decision from the cloud makes your energy installation dependent on an internet connection. For monitoring that is acceptable; for controlling power it is not. Hence the separation: control locally, watch centrally.

Safety above all

On the Elteq platform, control is deliberately activated in phases: every rule first runs in shadow (calculating along, not intervening), then comes a commissioning run with an acceptance report, and only then activation per site — always with an emergency stop. The same caution applies to behaviour on loss of connection.

And what about the data?

Telemetry is buffered locally and delivered once the connection is restored, so the picture in the portal stays complete. History is kept at full resolution — nothing is averaged away.
